Mykonos

Mykonos surprised us. We came for the beach clubs and nightlife. We got that.

But we also got lost wandering Chora’s alleys for hours, had a sunset dinner at Katerina’s I’m still thinking about, and found beach days at Platis Gialos where we actually relaxed.

These guides cover all of it: the beaches worth your time, where to stay, how to get around, and the stuff nobody warns you about.

Mykonos Little Venice at Sunset

At a glance

My experience in Mykonos

Mykonos is the island that works for everyone at the same time. Couples get sunset cocktails in Little Venice. Families get soft sandy beaches where teens can disappear for hours without you worrying.

And the whole island has this easygoing energy that makes you feel like you never need a rigid plan. I’ve been multiple times now, and every trip I find a new alley, a new taverna, or a new beach that makes me wonder how I missed it before.

Start wherever you are in planning and go from there.
