Crete
I spent two weeks driving across Crete with my family, a week in the Chania region and a week in Rethymno, and I still didn’t feel done.
This island is massive, wildly beautiful, and nothing like the rest of Greece.
These guides are built from that trip: the beaches we found, the mountain roads we drove, the tavernas we kept going back to, and the honest logistics that made it all work.

My experience in Crete
Crete isn’t an island you skim. It’s one you commit to. The west coast has some of the best beaches in Greece (Falasarna is still my favorite beach anywhere), the Old Towns in Chania and Rethymno feel like stepping back in time, and the south coast around Sfakia is raw and remote in the best possible way.
